Things To Do In Sarasota When It Rains
The Sarasota region is terrific for outdoor living and places to go. However, in rainy and hurricane season, some days are just not beach days :-) Not to worry, there are plenty of things to do to still enjoy our incredible area.
- Visit Sarasota has a terrific list from museums to theaters.
- Go bowling! Sarasota Lanes is located close to downtown off of Fruitville Road; AMF Gulf Gate Lanes is located closer to the south entrance of Siesta key.
- Head to one of malls for either shopping, walking and people watching. There is the Westfield Siesta Key Mall (formerly known as the South Gate Mall) located close to the north entrance to Siesta Key. It has several restaurants to choose from as well as the CineBistro - a different type of movie experience with luxury leather seats that rock and recline, reserve seating and in theater, full service dining. Farther north and on the border of Sarasota and Manatee counties is the UTC Mall. To the south you'll find Westfield Sarasota Square mall.
- There are several indoor activity places for those with kids: Bounce Down Under, Jumpin Fun Sports, Sky Zone Trampoline Park, and Livingston's Amusement Center
Rain or Shine, Sarasota is a great place to live, work and play!
